Even if you think speculative stocks and securities are a good idea, it's probably extremely bad that a company as successful as Netflix can lose $50bn worth of valuation in a day because they didn't grow last quarter. Like, something is fundamentally broken with the system and how we assign value if "the market" misunderstood how valuable a single company was to the tune of $50bn.

But because rich people are allowed to gamble on companies failing by shorting stock, it'll keep happening.

It would be funny if jobs and retirement funds didn't torpedo every time something like this happened.

The whole thing is just a complete sham, isn't it? And those not born wealthy have to keep tap dancing to the tune while capitalists keep changing the record mid dance. Absolute, utter madness.
